Professional Exchange Program
It has the objective to pursue experiences and competences in Units within ArcelorMittal Group, by means of specific probation programs for knowledge enhancement on themes of the Company’s interest, such as new technologies, processes and methodologies that bring effective results to ArcelorMittal Inox Brasil’s operation and evolution.
Expatriation
The objective is to promote international mobility as a professional and personal development factor within ArcelorMittal Group as a preparation for potential key persons the Company.
Specialization Programs
The post-graduation programs (specialization, master’s and doctor’s degree) are considered by the Company as one of the ways to develop the competences required for its processes and business.
Development Programs
They are qualification programs that have the aim to develop competences and knowledge on the management, technical and functional models that are tailored according to the Company’s requirements.
Language Immersion Courses
It has the aim to speed up the learning and acquisition process of a foreign language to be applied to the daily work and reinforce the inclusion of ArcelorMittal Inox Brasil’s executive in the global market.
Qualification and Training
ArcelorMittal Inox Brasil continuously invests in training and qualification of its employees. The results of this investment can be measured by the large number of functional mobility registered in the Company. In 2004, 27% of the staff were promoted or changed their activity as a result of a new qualification or skill development. In the last three years, 65% of the employees have been involved in this movement process.
Competitive Selection
It is a program that aims at assuring equal opportunities to all employees as regards professional growth by means of technical and clear criteria of in-house promotion. In the Competitive Selection Program, the employee has access to information about the currently existing opportunities in the Company and is free to apply for them by actively taking part in the personnel selection process. This program kindles professional development and mobility.
Study Project
For ArcelorMittal Inox Brasil, formal education is fundamental force drive for economical and social development. For that reason, the Company created the Study Project, which offers formal education to its own employees and third party’s employees. This Project is developed in the Plant, at non working hours, by Brazilian Foundation for Learning Support (FUBRAE). The learning program is very flexible and the students can make their own class schedule. This effort was granted the Education for Quality of Work award by MEC, UNICEF and UNESCO.
Professional Formation Center
It is dedicated to apprentice formation and is one of the most traditional technical-industrial teaching institutions in Brazil. It offers courses in mechanics and electric-electronics. In addition to the technical formation, the students go through preparation training on behavior at the place of work, which includes ArcelorMittal Inox Brasil’s program standards related to quality, safety and certificates.
