The OG silicon steels were developed to achieve low core loss and high magnetic permeability.
Its main feature is to present excellent magnetic properties in the rolling direction.
The GO grades are used for manufacturing cores of power and distribution transformers, as well as power reactors, hydrogenerators and turbogenerators.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
The OG silicon steel is surface coated with C5 (ASTM standard) and can be supplied as coils and strips, according to international standards.
The core loss upper and lower values are related to the fully processed product, tested after annealing, for relieving the stresses incurred from cutting process in samples cut at rolling direction. The user has to specify only one induction condition and frequency to guarantee maximum core loss. When not specified, the core loss value will be provided at 1.5 T and 60 Hz.
