The totally processed GNO steel grades produced by ArcelorMittal Inox Brasil comprise several classes required by the market.
They have excellent permeability rate, low core loss rate and can be supplied with isolating coating.
The application of a GNO steel is broaden, comprising hydro generators, sealed compressors for refrigerator industry, electric motors (small and large), lamp reactors and energy meters, among others.
TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
The GNO silicon steel grades can be supplied in coils, strips and sheets. The ABNT NM71-2000 norm deals with classification and requirements of this steel family.
The GNO silicon steel steels can be supplied with the following surface coating:
- C0 (natural inorganic oxide finish);
- C3 (organic isolation formed by varnish applied to the material surface);
- C4 (organic isolation formed by chemical treatment applied to the material);
- C6 (organic/inorganic isolation applied to the material surface).
The limit values of the core losses are related to the product fully processed, tested as cut, without annealing treatment, for relieving stresses incurred from the cutting process with 50% perpendicular to rolling direction.
The user has to specify only one induction condition and frequency to guarantee maximum core loss. When not specified, the core loss value will be provided at 1.0 T and 50 Hz.
