Development in the present and for the future.
"Sustainable development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the capacity of future generations to meet their own needs."
ArcelorMittal Group to which ArcelorMittal Inox Brasil is associated, built its sustainable development strategy based on the classic definition of Brundtland report.
In the conditions of participant in the initiative of the global pact of the United Nations, ArcelorMittal intends to become e true benchmark in this sector. And ArcelorMittal Inox Brasil is in consonance with this objective, which includes actions based on the 4 Ps:
• Profit: the sustainable development is nourished by a solid and continuous financial performance. Solid administrative gains and fusion synergies allied to a high reduction of debts make it possible for the Group to envisage new growth opportunities due to a significantly higher profitability.
• People: placing the men and women of the Group in the heart of its development, Arcelor has a commitment to safekeeping those people's health, the development of their skills and the respect for their cultural diversity.
• Planet: because environmental protection is a priority for any responsible company, Arcelor dedicates about 40% of its research force to preservation. Although steel is an indefinitely recyclable material, Arcelor is strongly interested in the development of new applications and productions that are more environment-friendly.
- Significant reduction of CO2 emissions; recycled byproducts reach 95%;
- 97% of the employees work on a structure certified by ISO 14001; 92% of the production areas are ISO 14001-certified.
• Partners: Arcelor committed itself to be a socially responsible corporation. The Group kindles open discussions and has the aim to create value to all its speakers: employees, partners, customers, local community and civil society.
